Jonathan found the last Daily Double in “Units of Measure” under the $1,600 clue, with 6 clues to go after it. In second place with $12,800, he had $2,800 less than Emily’s lead. He bet $3,000 and he was RIGHT.

A wild $400 swing on the very last clue put Jonathan in the lead with $14,200. Emily was next with $13,600 and Laura was in third place with $3,600.

The toc has cheap prize money. Winner should be 1m, 2nd place 750k, 3rd place 500k, and 75k for any player eliminated after round 1.
The toc players should form an unofficial union and refuse to show up unless the prize money is greatly increased. After all, trebek belongs to a union and collects 10m per year for minimal ‘work’.
Sad to see Emily Frey bump herself off the TOC Standings, but Erik Agard is breathing a deep sigh of relief right now.
With that, Erik Agard breathes a sigh of relief, and since the Teen Tournament begins on Thursday (PST), I think after the All-Star Game comes the College Championship and the 2019 Tournament of Champions. Oh well, Jonathan’s surging performance ended up being the new J! champion.
Teen Tournament starts on Wednesday, the Teachers Tournament comes after the College Championship this season.

For now. Just a question of time. They have not even announced a ToC yet. I would be very surprised if Erik is going to survive and the same goes for Ali, Dave and Scott. Even some 4 game winners might bite the dust….
A lot of breaks that didn’t go Laura’s way unfortunately today.
We finished off October with a couple of triple solves, big money winners and a possible contender for the ToC. Although I wish Emily had won this one but still we shall see how Jonathan does for the two days next week. Also John and VJ, where did you guys go to see Hamilton previously? Laura had a valiant effort but the two contestants were too fast for her. Jonathan on the hand played much more seriously.

Well, this was almost too easy. Strange bet by Emily though, she did not even cover Laura. And of course congratulations to Jonathan. Fortunately for him no clues were left (just talked about that yesterday…!!) And to the ladies for getting it.
The ToC jinx strikes again, the clock is reset, Emily never made it.
They haven’t had a Teen Tournament in the current studio ever since Jeff Xie won $75,000 after winning the tiebreaker against Alan Koolik. I hope this Teen Tournament will be better than what happened two years ago.

Yes, I’ve seen that several times. Sharath did the math right. Alec thought he had the win in his hands, until he looked at the scoreboard, and realized that he lost to Sharath by $1, and Sharath is like ”HA! It worked! Got you, Alec!”
