Can you hear me now?
— Edward Snowden (@Snowden) September 29, 2015
WHO IS EDWARD SNOWDEN?
“On Tuesday [9/29/15], former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden joined Twitter. 24 hours later, Snowden has already amassed more than one million followers. In his first tweet on Tuesday, Snowden tweeted from his verified account: “Can you hear me now?” Snowden has also made a statement of sorts by his choice of who to follow on Twitter. So far, he’s only following one other Twitter account — the NSA.”” (Business Insider)
Sam bet it all and doubled his score to $22,000.
Niki bet $5,000 bringing her up to $18,600.
Sarah bet $4,001 and finished with $22,001.
These scores will be added to the scores after Final Jeopardy! tomorrow to determine the winner.

After that last Daily Double, Niki had $2,400, $14,800 less than Sarah’s lead. There were 11 clues left and Niki went on a fierce streak, cutting Alex Trebek off right and left (even on the one-minute warning) and picking up $11,200. Sarah managed to snag the $800 clue in “The Mid-Section.” The $400 clue in “Mr. Robot” was left on the board and this one was a triple stumper:
($1,600) With names like Pookie and Snickle-Fritz, these robotic toy hamster pets have snuggled their way into our hearts.

I wonder what the procedure is for audio clues. Do they make you wait until they’ve played it before you can ring in? The answer of “Peer Gynt” was manifestly obvious from the wording, which is why I’m curious. The combination of the name Grieg and the phrase “chased by trolls” would have been enough for anyone who knows the Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 to guess it, and even know that they were about to play “In the Hall of the Mountain King”.
For normal clues, a light on the side of the clue board goes on when the answer may be given. My guess is the same is true for the audio.
Naturally, I would have loved to see Niki go huge on the FJ, but can understand her reluctance with a Wild-carder out front. I hope she gets them tomorrow!
My favorite news coverage was the astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson welcoming Edward Snowden to Twitter. That exchange made big headline news in September 2015. Wild!
I’m gonna be thinking about the deciding game of the 2016 College Championship, my 6th version of the JEOPARDY! Tournament Of Champions, and my brother, Sammy’s 18th birthday, all day tomorrow!
I hope your brother has a great landmark birthday and enjoys being able to vote the same year!
I hope that Niki girl doesn’t win. If she wins, she’ll need to catch up alot.
what are you talking about, Dalton? She caught up pretty darned well already. She’ll clean up if she plays the whole match like that tomorrow (though I hope she doesn’t keep cutting Trebek off like that)
Tell Sam don’t win.
yes Happy Birthday to your brother, Sammy.
Tomorrow was also my late grandfather’s birthday. He was born in 1897 and lived to almost 93.
Sam trails Sarah by $1, William.
