Kelly Macdonald: Disney Princess and HBO Gangster’s Wife

Actress Kelly Macdonald is Boardwalk Empire’s devious Irish molly, Margaret Schroeder … ahem … Thompson, that is — her character just married Steve Buscemi’s character, Nucky Thompson, and promptly signed his land holding over to the Catholic church behinds his back.

But on Pixar’s “Brave,” Kelly is the voice of spunky heroine, Merida.

In just about every interview, Kelly gets asked to give some teaser, some hint, something — anything — about her character’s direction on “Boardwalk Empire.”

But in an interview on Collider, Kelly say she just doesn’t know — they keep their cards very close to their chest. At the same time, she has been quoted as saying in Boardwalk Empire’s upcoming Season 3, “I’m past the halfway point…”

We’d imagine her character’s farther along than that, especially if she keeps carrying on with her husband’s bodyguard, Owen Sleater!
