Fired Dayana Votes for Arsenio Hall

Fresh from being fired from Celebrity Apprentice, former Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza appeared on Wendy Williams to talk about her experience. Wendy pointed out that Lisa Lampanelli’s tirades against Dayana reached their “absolute height” in “Jingle All the Way.” She wondered if Dayana had any idea why Lisa acted that way. Dayana claimed to have no clue, but we think she knows. Just like we do — these fights are part and parcel of the Celebrity Apprentice experience.

Still, there should be a line. And that’s the funny part. In one episode, Lisa claimed to be the only person who knew where to draw the line. In the boardroom in her last appearance, Dayana did say that she understood that Lisa does insult comedy for a living, but expressed her feelings that it was inappropriate in their current setting. Lisa was out of line in repeatedly calling her the b word, accompanied by many bleeping adjectives. Does anyone have to point out that Lisa really went overboard calling Dayana a racial slur on the radio?

All we can say is, it was really ugly to watch. Dayana did get kudos from lots of folks for not stooping to Lisa’s level. And she also got a few shots in of her own in that passive-aggressive way that Lisa, of all people, found offensive. Dayana pointed out to the Huff Post that Lisa was old enough to be her mother. And she told Wendy Williams that she hopes someone “honest” is this year’s Celebrity Apprentice, like Arsenio Hall.

So whaddya think? Does Arsenio have any shot at all against Loud Lisa or Atrocious Audrey?
