Celtics Roll Over Mavericks in Game 1 of NBA Finals

The Boston Celtics have been a dominant team in the NBA Playoffs, taking four of five each from Miami and Cleveland, as well as sweeping Indiana. They started off the Finals with a lopsided 107-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Boston on June 6th. The Celtics led by as many as 29 points in the second quarter after taking a 17 point lead at the end of the first quarter.

Jaylen Brown led Boston with 22 points, and Jayson Tatum had a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. For the first time since April 29th, Kristaps Porzingis returned to action, coming off the bench to score 20 points and grab six rebounds in 21 minutes. If Porzingis is back and in mid season form (which he certainly appeared to be), then the Mavericks really have their work cut out for them.

Luka Doncic led Dallas with 30 points and 10 rebounds and P.J. Washington had 14 and 8. Game 2 of the series is June 9th in Boston.
