This certainly wasn’t the best week ever in the FJ! department. The worst FJ! was Wednesday’s Rhyme Time clue. No one got the correct opera so we just don’t know if they would have accepted the one-word opera name because of its internal rhyme, but Ken Jennings said it was a 2-word answer. The easiest was the Friday’s 20th century novel.
Weckiai Rannila lost her 4th game on Monday to Matthew Smith who won $26,400. Matthew was defeated by Allison Gross on Tuesday when she won $9,599. On Wednesday, no one got FJ! right, but Allison’s $9,999 won the game. On Thursday, a correct answer in FJ! helped Allison win $25,000. So that was a total of $44,598 for Allison. She lost on Friday, when Will Stewart won $25,601.
All in all, Jeopardy! paid out $96,599 to 3 champs and $25,000 to the runners-up.
Here is the PREPOSITIONAL BOOK TITLES category from Friday’s game.
