Supporting Cast: F… Paying It Forward – Shameless

Here are some of the actors and actresses who appeared in Shameless, Episode 4, Season 8 (11-26-17): The recap of the episode is here.

Juliette Angelo as Geneva in Shameless

You’re the coolest, Ian

Juliette Angelo plays Geneva. We saw her briefly in “Where’s My Meth” in Ian’s ambulance, and she showed up there again in this episode. She’s leading a rough life out there on the streets. Elliott was angry with Ian for letting Geneva crash at the Gallaghers but then he found out that Geneva applied for the Jr. Firefighters Program at Ian’s suggestion. Her IMDB profile shows her being in at least 5 more episodes this season. She has an obvious a crush on Ian so it could be interesting to see where that goes. Maybe Ian will want to be a big brother to her but maybe Geneva will be jealous of his relationship with Elliott and try to sabotage it.

Bre Blair as Cynthia in Shameless

I’d like to show my appreciation

Bre Blair played Cynthia, the PTA mom who took an interest in Frank after he fixed her broken shoe with his own tools like “a real man.” She looks like a real maneater — a piranha even! We think it will be Frank getting in over his head here.

Dale Dickey as Aunt Ronnie in Shameless

We did you a favor when we abandoned you, Barty!

Dale Dickey played Kev’s Aunt Ronnie. She tried some revisionist history with how Kev got left at the gas station but the truth came out at the family barbecue. We would have preferred if they went more with the dumb inbred rednecks thing than the racist angle. Surely, Veronica knows that if they were backwoods racists, they would have got their shotguns out when she showed up. Biff’s wife is African-American and he said Kev’s sister, Bambi, has kids “of every color and flavor.” One thing we did notice: the names of Kev’s siblings that he met all started with “B” — Bambi, Biff and Barry — like his original name, Bart. Aunt Ronnie said Kev’s father had 9 kids though. Looks like Kev might not be the only one that got out.

Dallas Dupree Young as De'Andre in Shameless

Hey Class, let’s welcome De’Andre to our family

Dallas Dupree Young played De’Andre, the new minority face at Liam’s school. He was introduced while the kids were choosing basketball partners. A couple of boys wanted to argue over Liam until they saw the much taller D’Andre. That might mean that Liam won’t be needed at Hopkins Academy much longer and those invitations to Cabo will just dry up.

Dermot Mulroney as Sean in Shameless

My wife and I came back so I could make amends

A last word on Sean: what is wrong with this guy? Didn’t he ever hear of the U.S. Postal Service? He could have just mailed Fiona a cashier’s check with a sincere “I’m sorry and want to pay you for the wedding.” She may have returned it, she may have ripped it up, but either one would be a lot better than showing up in person, and his new wife accompanied him on the trip, for heaven’s sake.
