Second place Stars Beat West Leading Avalanche, Trail by Just Two Points in Tight Race
The streaking Dallas Stars improved to 8-1-1 over their last 10 games with a 2-1 shoot out win over the NHL Western Conference leading Colorado Avalanche on in Denver on March 18th. Dallas is in second in both the Western Conference and the Central Division, with Colorado in 1st place in both.
Cale Makar scored Colorado’s only goal in the first period. Jason Robertson tied it in the second for Dallas. Wyatt Johnston scored the shootout winner in overtime. Colorado (44-13-10, 98 points) leads Dallas (43-15-10) by two points. The Stars lead the season series 2-1, with one game remaining. That one will be played in Dallas on April 4th.
