Prince Oscar of Sweden is Christened

Well, would you look at this? We actually get to see Sweden’s newest heir to the throne get baptized, courtesy of EuroNews. Prince Oscar was christened on May 27th at the Royal Chapel of Stockholm Palace in Stockholm, Sweden.

Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skåne was born on March 2, 2016 is the only son of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and he is the third in line to the Swedish throne behind his mother, and his 4-year-old sister, Princess Estelle.

The tiny Prince was christened in an antique christening gown worn by all royal family members since 1906. His name and date of christening were embroidered into the gown.

Godparents are Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark; Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway; his maternal aunt, Princess Madeleine of Sweden; his mother’s cousin Oscar Magnuson; and his father’s cousin Hans Åström.

Lots of great photos from the occasion at the Daily Mail
