Peyton Manning Breaks Touchdown Pass Record

Peyton Manning continued his magnificent 2013 season by throwing four touchdown passes in the Broncos’ 37-13 rout of the Houston Texans. In the process, Manning threw his 51st TD pass of the season, breaking Tom Brady’s record of 50. Manning passed for 400 yards in the victory and now has a career high 5211 with one regular season game remaining. The victory clinched the AFC West title for Denver.

Manning started the year with a seven TD pass performance against the Ravens in the season opener and hasn’t looked back. The neck problems that resulted in surgery and a 2011 season in injured reserve are in the past. No question, he should be the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for 2013. If, or we should say when, he wins that award, it will be his fifth time (2003, 2004, 2008, 2009) and first as a member of the Broncos.
