Patriots Beat Colts in Rematch of Deflate Gate Game

Quarterbacks Tom Brady and Andrew Luck both passed for 312 yards and three touchdowns, but Brady and his New England Patriots prevailed 34-27 over the Colts in Indianapolis on October 18th. The game was a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship, the “Deflate Gate” game, in which the Patriots were caught using under inflated footballs.

The Colts livened things up by attempting a first half onside kick and a fake punt. The fake punt featured the strangest formation we can recall ever seeing in an NFL game:

We don’t know what to make of that, frankly.

The Patriots improved to 5-0 while the Colts dropped to 3-3. Both still lead their divisions. The AFC South has been pretty weak, a 9-7 (or even 8-8) record will probably win it, so the Colts are in pretty good shape in spite of their current mediocrity.
