Panthers Beat Senators to Move Into 1st Place

The Florida Panthers have been red hot as of late, winning nine of 10 and six in a row. The latest victory on February 20th was a 3-2 overtime victory over the visiting Ottawa Senators. Anton Lundell scored the winner at 1:36 into overtime. Sergei Bobrovsky had 28 saves to improve his record to 28-10-2 with a 2.39 goals against average. It was the 11th straight game that Florida has allowed two or fewer goals.

With the victory, Florida (37-15-4) moved into 1st place in the NHL Eastern Conference with 78 points, one point ahead of the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers. Florida has two games left with the Rangers, both in New York, and has a home and home with the Bruins.
