Our Beloved Alex Trebek Dies at Age 80

We were shocked to learn of the passing of Alex Trebek in the early hours of November 8th, 2020 in his home in Los Angeles. Although we knew this day would come, Alex Trebek’s brave battle against Stage 4 pancreatic cancer had the whole world rooting for him to beat this dreadful disease and therefore, allayed our fears that he would eventually succumb to his diagnosis.

Fikkle Fame joins the whole world in mourning the loss of this great man who has brought so many years of pleasure to Jeopardy lovers everywhere. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

    I have watched Alex Trebek on High Rollers and Jeopardy. Always wanted to meet him. He had so much class. No one will ever be able to replace him. Hopefully that will have reruns with him on another channel. He was the great game show host on television.. Answer. Who is Alex Trebek. Thank you for all your years you shared with us

    I was fortunate to appear three different times (7 total episodes) on Jeopardy with Alex as host. He was always the consummate professional, but what some don’t know is that he had a quick, wicked sense of humor.. He will be missed.

You’ve been such a great host with Johnny Gilbert these 36 years and I’ve watched you and Johnny since 2010 and even saw you 2 when I was in the audience of Season 32 in 2015! No one is ever gonna replace you when you’ve entertained and fascinated fans around the world and may you rest in peace! You will really be missed and thank you for bringing back Jeopardy on the show since Art Fleming!       I even forgot, Even all these years when I watched the show, I always announced the show with Johnny and I’m sure it will be really hard to announce Ken Jennings after an emotional farewell from your passing!

    Alex was a legendary host. I loved his sense of humor. I will miss seeing him walk out on stage and opening the show with ” Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen, let’s get started with these categories. ” He is my favorite game show host. I’ll pray for comfort and peace for the family.

    I have stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer and was quite blown away when he passed! He was looking and acting great and then he left us, really worries me! Watching til the end!

    I was heartbroken when I heard the news of Alexs passing. I started watching Jeopardy some yrs back. My evenings were complete while watching the show. Alex was part of the family each evenings
    Watching now is so hard knowing these are tapes he made before he passed. You are a wonderful msn and Thank you for coming on my livingroom each evening. RIP Alex you are missed. Prayers for the family.

    My condolences to you on the loss of Alex. I watched Jeopardy since the beginning. I would guess the answers got some right and some wrong. I could tell that Alex was a gentle soul. A man of good nature. When heard of his cancer, I thought of many person in my life that had cancer. Thank you Alex for many years of good questions and answers.     OMG How sad that Alex’s battle came to end , after he had made some inroads several months ago. His easy manner and dignity were some of the qualities I admired in him. He was the perfect host for Jeopardy and it will be hard to see someone else in that role… He inspired achievement in the contestants. It is poignant watching these last episodes knowing he is no longer with us.

    I have watched Alex, since I was a little boy, didn’t understand the game, but Mom enjoyed and was able to beat a lot of the contestants.       My deepest condolences to the Trebek family. He was in my living room almost every night. He almost seemed like he was a family member to me. Great at what he did. Always cared about the show and each contestant. He is definitely someone to look up to and strive to be like him. He will without a doubt be missed.

    I loved jeopardy and Alex was the big reason why. My sister in law is fighting this terrible disease and the outlook does not look good. As Alex was in my prayers please keep her in yours. She’s only 54.

    I was so excited back in 1984 when the quiz show “Jeopardy” was revived! When the show first began its new run I was originally sad to learn that there would be a new host. Alex Trebek proved himself many times over that he WAS the host of Jeopardy. I will miss him a great deal. RIP Alex, you will be missed by many.

    Alex felt like part of our family because he had drawn my family together through Jeopardy almost every evening for so many years. We loved him and we will miss him but he will always live on in our hearts.     My daughter is 36 years old this year and I remember watching Jeopardy with her and she loved the music. I even taped the music so I could play it during the day. She learned to clap with Wheel of Fortune and followed that with the Jeopardy final Jeopardy song.
