Oprah and Stedman Will Never Marry

Oprah Winfrey has been dishing with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson all week and one thing she decided to clear up once in for all was the question of whether she and her longtime beau, Stedman Graham, will tie the knot.

Shaun Robinson put it to the Big O this way: “Will you leave this earth as a never-married woman?”

And Oprah replied “Yes, yeah, I think that’s my final answer.”

We don’t know who wonders about it anymore really. Back in her talk show days, the talk show queen would occasionally express an interest in becoming a mother and say that she was not sure she would ever have what it takes to devote yourself to raising a child. Apparently, she has decided that she does not have what it takes to be anyone’s wife.

Oprah said even recently, attending the wedding of soul singer Tina Turner and her longtime lover, Erwin Bach, (after a 27 year relationship), Tina told her that she and Stedman should follow suit. “You need to do it,” said the “What’s Love Got to Do with It” chanteuse.

But Oprah doesn’t think it wouldn’t make much of a difference if she and Stedman got hitched. If anything, it would make things worse because that would place expectations on her that she just couldn’t handle.

Oprah said that Stedman would say if they had gotten married, they’d be divorced by now.
