Mikaela Schiffrin Becomes the All Time Leader in Career World Cup Skiing Victories

Earlier this season, Mikaela Schiffrin broke Lindsey Vonn’s record for most World Cup skiing victories by a woman. On March 11th, Schiffrin passed Ingemar Stenmark for most victories ever by anyone when she won a slalom at the World Cup event at Are, Sweden. It was her 87th career win.

Schiffrin has bounced back after an uncharacteristically poor and medal less showing at the Olympics last year. The soon to be 28 year old, who is at her peak, will probably continue to compete at least through the next Winter Olympics in 2026.
