Meat Loaf Recovering After Collapsing On Stage

Rocker Meat Loaf collapsed onstage during a concert in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on Thursday, June 16th. The 68-year-old “Bat Out of Hell” singer was onstage singing his Grammy Award-winning hit “I’d Do Anything for Love,” when he suddenly fell to the floor. As sometimes happens, fans were confused as to whether dropping to the floor was part of his act or he was actually hurt in some way. Stage hands and musicians rushed to assist the stricken singer and he was taken to a nearby hospital for tests.

His spokesperson later reported that Meat Loaf was suffering from severe dehydration and a statement posted on his Facebook page said that he was in stable condition, and expecting a “speedy and full recovery.” Meat Loaf’s heartfelt thanks for the support and well wishes sent his way were also extended.
