  1. Clara Armitage says:

On Wednesday May 21st 2020 Master Mind had Lakedra Pam, Muffy Marracco, and Arianna Haut. In round 2 The question was ” Located in the Canadian Maritimes Halifax is the capital of which province?” The answer was correct but Arianna said after there are 3 islands in the Canadian Maritimes Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. There are 2 errors in that statement. First one the 3 island are Prince Edward island, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Newfoundland is not an island It borders Maine USA. The second error is the province is called Newfoundland/Labrador. . I know that is probably not what Arianna meant to say. Mistakes happen.

    Thank You

    • Ric Koch says:

Sorry. There are TWO islands in the Canadian Maritimes. Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. You should look at a map before you correct an incorrect response with yet another incorrect response.

  2. Sharon Norris says:

In today’s episode one of the masters commented on the Atlantic provinces in Canada being three islands and then she named Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. The first two are correct but New Brunswick is not an island. Also Newfoundland is only one part of an Atlantic province the other part is Labrador. The full province is called Newfoundland and Labrador. There is a third island in the Atlantic provinces called Cape Breton which makes one third the province of Nova Scotia.

    Sharon Norris
(Ordinarily from Newfoundland now living in Nova Scotia)

    • VJ says:

Thanks for the info, Sharon. That was Arianna who said that. Perhaps she meant 3 Maritime provinces?? I don’t know, I’m asking 😁

    • VJ says:

I got a chance to look this up and yeah, the 3 Arianna named are the Maritime Provinces. If you include Newfoundland and Labrador, then it’s — “Atlantic Canada, also called the Atlantic provinces, is the region of Canada comprising the four provinces located on the Atlantic coast, excluding Quebec: the three Maritime provinces – New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island – and the easternmost province of Newfoundland and Labrador.”

Either Arianna misspoke or she thinks maritime = island

    • Ric says:

Arianna actually said that the three islands were Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick. She did not mention PEI.
