June 8th Birthdays

American actor and singer, James Darren, was born on this day in 1936 in Philadelphia, Pa., as James William Ercolani. Here is his 1961 No. 3 hit record, “Goodbye Cruel World” (from a 1961 episode of “The Donna Reed Show”) with a slight change in lyrics. He’s joining the army, not the circus.
