Jeopardy! Category: A Major Leaguer in Song

The contestants left this entire category for last in the first round of the June 22nd match. Perhaps they thought the songs would contain a major leaguer’s name. We did! We thought Mrs. Robinson would be in there, but it wasn’t.

($200) “The last known survivor stalks his prey in the night and he’s watching us all with the eye of the _____”

($400) Juice Newton: “Just call me ___ of the morning, ___. Just touch my cheek before you leave.”

($600) Madonna: “Quicker than a ___ of light.”

($800) Jimmy Buffett: “Yes, I am a _____, 200 years too late, the cannons don’t thunder, there’s nothing to plunder.

This was the only clue no one got and it doesn’t have the answer in the title, so the video is included. (Links to the other songs are in the dollars amounts).

($1000) Andrews Sisters: “Drinkin’ rum & coca cola… both mother & daughter, working’ for the _____ dollar.”

BONUS Song Clue: This one was in the category MILAN. Megan couldn’t quite suppress her amusement when she asked the right question in her response. Alex Trebek’s rendition of the clue was pretty funny.

($800) In 1992 this band let us know, I’m too sexy for Milan, too sexy for Milan, New York & Japan
