WHAT IS “RUMOURS”?

Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album “Rumours” proved to be not just a classic album for the group, but one of the best-selling of all time, with over 40 million copies sold worldwide. It was the group’s first No. 1 album in the UK. Four songs were released as singles: “Go Your Own Way”, “Dreams”, “Don’t Stop”, and “You Make Loving Fun”. They all were in the Top 10 in the USA. “Dreams” hit No. 1. In Stevie Nicks’ memoir “Visions, Dreams and Rumours”, it says of the title: “Whether flirtatious, confessional or downright confrontational, everyone’s songs together simply sounded ‘like a bunch of rumours’, as John McVie [the band’s bass player] noted. It was the perfect title, and it also wryly referred to the flurry of sensationalist gossip about them in the music business and the press….”

Jamie got it right. She bet $16,000 and finished with $32,200.

Elliott got it, too. Unfortunately for him, he only bet $928. He finished with $17,728 and that made Jamie Logan the new Jeopardy! champ. Holy moly!

Well it was amazing to hear that Hanna’s sister participated in jeopardy previously. Such a great story. I was really hoping Elliott would have bet more to cover Jamie and win today, VJ. But still though congrats to Jamie on a big winning payday. Are you a fan of Fleetwood Mac?

Jamie’s score is 16,200 not 15,200. Did you know that in today’s chat, Hanna mentioned that her sister Liz was on the show in Season 34. She came in second place and was a dollar short of a win. If you remembered the 7/4/18 match, it was an exciting ending.

    • Cece says:

What a bizarre coincidence that both FJ’s on the sisters’ games were about music — Classic Albums and Classic Rock.

    • Howard says:

There have been several mentions over time about parent-child, husband-wife, sibling pairings who made it onto the show. Wheel of Fortune, too.

7-4-18 sticks out for me because it’s the day my mother died. So I’m sure I didn’t watch that one.
