Here’s a summary of the clues on The Best Ever Trivia Show for Wednesday, July 24, 2019 with host Sherri Shepherd. Today’s episode title is “Puppy Love.”

The format of this show pits 3 contestants against 3 trivia experts. There are 3 rounds and the player with the highest score wins $1,000 and moves on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. They give one player a choice of categories and a choice of experts to play against. It’s a multiple choice format.

In Round 1, Jamie chose LAKES instead of Medicine and he chose expert Ken. 4 questions, 50 points for each correct answer and double if Ken gets it wrong.

In Round 2, as the leader, Jamie picked CANINE COMPANIONS and not Medicine. 100 points for each correct answer. Arianna was this round’s trivia expert to beat for double points.

The twist in this 3-question round is the expert reveals how confident s/he is about the answer and the players have a chance to go with that for 200 points or to pick their own answer for 400 points, if right. Ryan is this round’s expert.

Jamie wins $1,000 and gets a chance to win $10,000 by taking on a set of 5 more questions and getting more of them right than Arianna. He would also return on the next show. Any player who makes it through 3 shows and wins $30,000, gets to join the Best Ever Trivia Show’s expert team.

Jamie and Arianna were tied at 3 right each so Jamie got to play the Ultimate Trivia Question chosen by the experts before the show. He does not have to beat Arianna on this one. He just has to get it right.

    Poor Jamie. Just when it looked like he would win $10,000 Parsley became his Waterloo & the Lord of the Rings trilogy on the Ultimate Trivia Question solidified his loss. Wow. What a way to go down. That had to hurt.

    I wish Sherri would tell us how each expert scored overall rather than just calling down the one who scored best.

      I agree, Jacob. They should show the scoreboard for the expert. They must have one somewhere. LOL!

      I also think they should pay them whatever the top score is in the main round. Some of them don’t make it to 1,000 so that would work out. And, as I have said before, the main round winners should get something for whatever they get right in that last round. All they get now is “I’m sorry, you didn’t quite make it” 😕
