It wasn’t exactly a stellar week for FJ responses, was it, but it was a perfect week of just one right. The current champ, Austin Rogers, had 4 of them. Wednesday’s correct response came from Jay Hancock. That one was the toughest, in our opinion. We didn’t think the others were that tough, but surely, Monday’s should have been the easiest. Jeopardy! has clues about the “American Gothic” painting and painter on the regular.
Austin Rogers returned for his 5th game on Monday and by Friday, he was a 9x champ with winnings of $332,400. He appeared on Good Morning America before the week was out and there are some highlights in the video above.
As for the Top 10 Daily Payouts in Season 34, as of 10/6/2017, Austin has taken over most of it. We were saying in last week’s recap that he set the bar high. This week, he set it VERY high!

Anyway, he had a hair cut?! I liked the messy hair better; it fit beautifully with his crazy persona, imo.
I like the new do myself, Cece, and what was with this response to being asked about it –“Scissors exist.” They existed before he headed out to L.A. He’s “always on”
I don’t like the new do for the exact reason the reporter described it as “Jeopardy-esque” (something like that). Translation: nerd-esque, lol.
Yes, he’s “always on.” Btw, in my imaginary game, Ben Ingram would star along Austin and Matt. Ben would bring some semblance of sanity into the mixture, but not interject too much into the madness.
I wonder if Austin could get on Beat Shazam. He’d clean up for sure on there.
