We began this week with 2 triple stumpers in a row, but 3 times the charm and there was one solve on Wednesday. Everyone got FJ on Thursday and on Friday, 2 players got it. Thus, the easiest was the International Crime clue. Tuesday’s was the hardest. The players were not alone in their confusion. A lot of viewers were thrown by the meaning of hyphenate, too.
On Monday, Doug Dodson defeated returning champ, Andrew Knudsen. Doug racked up 2 more wins but on Thursday, he lost to Sara Butner. On Friday, Adam Francois Watkins ran away with the game. Sara had the highest payday of the week and Doug had the lowest.
Here is the General Hospital category from Monday’s game. I know that some viewers deplore such theatrics but I love it and, imo, it was a lot better than that Election 1968 category that Lawrence O’Donnell (MSNBC) read so slowly. It’s surprising to have a Daily Double in these categories, but it’s even more surprising that they left it in this video. They had to give Doug back his money because the clue was a hot mess.
I loved the GH category, VJ, such fun! Could the MSNBC guy have read the 1968 category any slower? They could have had 10 clues in that category in the time it took! And I love the category, too bad they had to have someone read it.
I agree, Rhonda. I liked Franco’s reading the best.
I was so hoping Dr. O would show up in one of the clues!
