Wednesday’s FJ clue was voted easiest of the week around here and Friday’s was the toughest even though the Tuesday clue stumped the players. Some felt that the “hero” part of the Friday clue was misleading. I thought it ruled out superheroes myself. That’s always one word in clues, isn’t it?
The first week of 2018 sure went fast! Once again, like last week, there was a new champ every day this week. On Monday, returning champ Henry Ayoola turned the title over to Nick Spicher. Saralee Etter won on Tuesday and Steph Bundy sent her home on Wednesday. Sean Sullivan scored the first runaway of the year, but he lost to Brandon Brooks on Friday.
The Top Payday Award this week went to Steph Bundy, but no one came close to beating the $29,300 it takes to get on the Top 10 Daily Payouts of the season.

@VJ, 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the movie “2001:A Space Odyssey.” I hope upcoming contestants are doing their homework on this classic masterpiece. I anticipate it popping up in clues.
