Tue, Apr 15 – Correct answers: 1
CITY NICKNAMES: The poet Albius Tibullus called a city this in the late 1st century B.C., some 700 years after its traditional founding show
Wed, Apr 16 – Correct answers: 0
PLACES IN THE AMERICAN PAST: It’s the building where the Stax Records classic “Knock On Wood” was written but it’s remembered for other reasons show
Thu, Apr 17 – Correct answers: 2
FICTIONAL CHARACTERS: This character’s efforts in Africa to end an epidemic killing monkeys inspired Jane Goodall to do something similar show
Fri, Apr 18 – Correct answers: 2
PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEES: The year the Democratic nominee gave his “Cross of Gold” speech, the GOP nominee was this man who backed the gold standard show
The dominant number of solves was 2 this week. I thought the first and last clues were easier than Jane Goodall’s clue. For me, the City Nickname was easiest. The place where “Knock on Wood” was written was the toughest. Most agreed that an extra hint was needed. The location (Memphis) was suggested but some viewers said they had never even heard that song. It would have been interesting to see those results!
This week’s winners:
Mon 4/14/25 $26,401 Andrew Hayes
Tue 4/15/25 $19,201 Andrew Hayes
Wed 4/16/25 $20,000 Andrew Hayes

Last week, Andrew Hayes won 3 games and $72,202. This week, he won 3 more games and $65,602, for a total of $137,804. Steven Hoying won on Thursday with a runaway, and it looked like he might be around a while. It was not to be when Liam Starnes won on Friday. Jeopardy! paid out $127,406 this week, almost $20K more than last week due to the big numbers on Thursday and Friday.
Jeopardy! also paid out the usual $15K in consolation prizes. Andrew and Steven got $3K each out of that.
