This was an awful week in FJ!, the likes of which we hope never to see again! There were no correct responses for 4 days in a row in games where the contestants were hand-picked from prior games for a Second Chance. I leave it to you to determine whether the material in the first 4 games was too tough. I got 2 of them right so I don’t think so. In any week, I might be inclined to say the Art & Artists clue was the toughest because I’m a foreigner in the land of modernist sculpture.
Whether they are in regular play or tournaments, pop culture clues always play well and Friday’s clue broke the dry spell with 2 correct responses. I ended up with a score of 3 out of 5 for the week. To quote Will Sonnett, “no brag, just fact.”
This week’s winners:
Mon 12/15/25 $8,001 Eugene Huang
Tue 12/16/25 $12,599 Dave Widmayer
Wed 12/17/25 $12,800 Pete Johnston
Thu 12/18/25 $6,000 Eugene Huang
Fri 12/19/25 $26,800 Pete Johnston
This was a Second Chance Tournament so the above figures are just scores. The top prize on Friday was $35,000, which went to Pete Johnston for having the highest score at the end of the last 2 games.
Jeopardy! also paid out $15,000 to the other 2 contestants: Eugene Huang and Dave Widmayer.
Here is the VAMPING IT UP ON TV category from Monday’s game.
