TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
WHO IS HAILE SELASSIE?
“Fairfield House is an English Heritage Grade II listed building built between 1840–50 in the city of Bath, England. The property was the home to His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia during 1936–41, the five years he spent in exile from the invasion of Mussolini’s troops into his homeland, then known as Abyssinia.” (Fairfield House)
Coincidentally, Keith Bowers, author of “Imperial Exile” (see video) is just finishing up a book tour in the USA. This past July, he was interviewed on AllAfrica.com on his coverage of Haile Selassie’s 5-year exile in Bath.
Harold got it right. He bet it all and his total rose to $8,800.
Erin did not have a response. She lost her $12,599 bet, leaving her with $1.00.
Seth also got it right, with some spelling leeway as he wrote down “Salassie.” He bet $7,601 so he won the match with $25,201. His 8-day total is $191,701. Seth has now surpassed Andrew Pau and Buzzy Cohen in winnings. Tomorrow we will find out if he will tie with Buzzy for 9 wins.
Seth’s mom must be awfully proud. He mentioned during the chat that she watches Jeopardy! and was a fan of Buzzy, Andrew and Philip Tiu.

Well it was a good surprise to see 2 players get FJ tonight. When nobody got the U.S. President & Japanese monarch clue, my hopes for that were dimmed.
I’ve got 10 more clues from this match over here
Doesn’t spelling count in FJ?
