I thought FJ was obvious, especially with the “Senator” reference. Wasn’t sure if that was the same Sherman as the one in the antitrust act, but that was irrelevant. I felt smart for once knowing the last 2 DDs and FJ (& should have nailed that easy first DD).
Terrific game, all 3 played well, and anyone could have won.
Was grinding my teeth over those three missed clues in the betting category. But those really were tough if you didn’t have experience in that field. The Don Quixote/Sancho stumper wasn’t difficult, especially in light of the category title.

Well associating Sherman with the Anti-Trust Act would at least point you to the time period (1890)

      • Howard says:

True, except there was no time period/year specified in the clue or category. Which I guess is why Maddie went with the Arch.

        • Jason says:

I thought 1890s-ish, sure to Sen Sherman, and first said “The Statue of Liberty”. But, with about 5 seconds left, I got Washington Monument. I don’t know if I would have had enough time to write it in, à la Sadie Goldberger.

I was thinking Maddie was going to leave clues on the board, as slow as she was selecting them.

    • Jason says:

Not only of the Anti-Trust Act, but, also, younger brother to Gen William Tecumseh Sherman!

      • VJ says:

Yes, and also Sherman’s Silver Purchase Act, like it says in the part of the recap about other Sherman Jeopardy clues that went unnoticed

        • Jason says:

My goodness, I’m sorry VJ – I looked right past that! You put so much work into this site. I don’t want you to think I don’t appreciate it!!

        • VJ says:

Thanks, Jason. I dunno, maybe I should put the shorter part first so it gets noticed. But I thought the Sherman Room blog had some good stuff over there.

  2. Rick says:

Hmmmm…………I wouldn’t have considered the Washington Monument as being a work of art, but rather a tribute to our first president. Anyways, we all went with the Space Needle for FJ. It was an incorrect response, but at least it had some resemblance to artwork. Nevertheless, it was a great game, and I did quite well in it.

  3. Kevin Cheng says:

What an exciting game between Maddie and Kate. They both had over 20,000 going into FJ! The difference was Kate got Final correct and Maddie didn’t and wagered way too big and lost. Big payday for Kate to end the week. We still haven’t had a game this season where all three players got Final correct. When was the last time at the exact date that all three players answered correctly in FJ!
