The last Daily Double went uncovered under one of the last 3 clues in “Lil Nasdaq “X”.

Brian finished in the lead with $15,400. Dana was next with $12,600 and Sarah was in third place with $6,400.

TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS MARIA MONTESSORI?

Maria Montessori became one of the first female physicians in Italy after graduating from the University in Rome in 1896. While practicing in psychiatry, she became deeply interested in educational challenges faced by children with learning disabilities. She began her educational work in 1900 and by 1907, opened the first Casa dei Bambini, pioneering innovative and high-quality learning methods that were so successful that schools named for Dr. Montessori sprang up all over, reaching the USA in 1911.

Learn more on the American Montessori Society’s website, where it is pointed ouot that Maria Montessori was “not the first female medical school graduate, as reported by many of her biographers”. That info would make several old clues wrong, including the first Daily Double in Julia Collins’ 13th game.

Sarah got it right. She bet it all and finished with $12,800.

Dana got it, too. She doubled her score to $25,200.

Brian came up with Marie Curie. He lost his $9,801 bet and finished with $5,599. That made Dana Hill the new Jeopardy! champ.

Final Jeopardy (9/21/2020) Sarah Twilley, Brian Ross, Dana Hill

In case you didn’t hear it: On the $400 clue in “Lil Nasdaq” (This service features channels like Hip-Hop Nation, Ozzy’s Boneyard & No Shoes Radio), Sarah did not phrase her response in the form of a question initially. When that was met with the pregnant pause, she said “Is it Sirius XM Radio?” Alex said “Well, that’s an unual way of phrasing your response but it is correct.”

A triple stumper from each round:

THE TEMPLETON PRIZE ($200) The prize is for “life’s spiritual dimension”, but its creator stipulated the monetary award must always exceed this other prize’s

ROCK STARS ($1000) This singer-songwriter helped created the California Sound (image)

Well Sarah played a good game but she wasn’t able to catch up to Dana. I thought she had gotten a few more clues in rock stars. I just hope Dana can string together some wins at least before zach returns. What was Brian thinking with Marie Curie, VJ? Last I heard she is from France and not Italy.

Viewing the game on j-archive, for the “Saving _____ period” clue in the “Middlewoman” category, the response that came to my mind, and that I was unable to remove, was “Private Ryan”.

lol. that whole category is on page 2 (it was on the Who Won post earlier). It was pretty easy and I thought Dana was going to run it but Brian managed to get in there first on the $600 clue
