I thought the same thing about Will and Second Chance.
I was 1/3 on DD and got FJ. Also, about half the TS. I thought Alisa was NEVER going to be able to ring in!
I have to confess I’ve heard the name Percy Jackson but had no clue who that was. Utterly shocked the English teacher didn’t know Damon’s mythological partner. She’d have ended up with $11400, $400 more than Aiden, and conceivably won the game as it played out. Both Aiden and Alisa gave lame answers to two clues that Will gladly took care of. One was the Top 40, the other one escapes me right now.
I was surprised that I got that Damon clue. My mythology knowledge is both rusty and superficial.
Same here, never cared for mythology, but that one I knew cold. Like Orpheus and Eurydice, Heloise and Abelard, Icarus and Daedalus, Robin Hood & Maid Marian.
Baucis and Philemon was my favorite when I was a kid. I think they had a clue about it once. Also, Jonathan Swift wrote a poem based on it.
I hope Will gets invited to Second Chance because he had a strong start and held a big lead at the end of the first round. He led all the way until he got Final wrong and lost.
Good call, Kevin. I hope Will gets Second Chance too. I also said Harry Potter but I figured the 2 teachers would know it being around kids and all.
