I have a saying which is: “Much of life is environmental”. If Matt went up against James Holzhauer two years ago then Matt would have immediately faded into obscurity. No matter how good you are having a little luck also helps.
You don’t know that. Matt would have a good shot vs. James. I would put James as about a 2/1 favorite, but a lot depends on the categories and on DDs and FJ.
I picked John Quincy Adams for the final question so I wasn’t that far off. Oh well!
Go Matt Go!
Keep winning! You rock!

Looks like Matt’s chances of losing this week didn’t really happen but he definitely made a clean sweep this week after not being able to get that daily double yesterday. I think he is definitely going to be welcomed into The Chaser’s lounge soon if he reaches a million dollars. I think matt could definitely get to James Holzhauer soon if he wins 9 more games. This is a great start to season 38 of Jeopardy VJ. I can’t wait to see Mayim again behind the lectern next week. One triple solve this week plus double solves. Let’s hope there will be another triple solve next week.
Wow, I thought the probability suggested Matt would lose sometime this week, but instead he’s taken his game to another level.
Truly one of the all-time greats now.
