Oslo came to me right away. I’ve seen Apia in crosswords, but never would have come up with it. If anyone were to ask me to name any 4-letter capital, Oslo would be the one.
My fellow Oregonian Jill is looking good in this final. She came from way behind today.
That sounds logical, VJ. Sometimes it’s really hard to know what contestants are thinking, based on some of the answers. My “favorite” mistake is misreading the question, which has produced some pretty awful answers. Still, I’m glad FJ only wanted ONE of the capitals – I had a hard time with Apia. Your hints were really helpful if that or similar categories come up in the future. LOVE this website and appreciate all your hard work.
Thanks, Sam, it’s good to know the info is helpful.
I completely agree about them only wanting one, but they must have felt it was fair (1 easy, 1 hard) just like David had to know Lisbon doesn’t have 4 letters 🤣
Ken indicated in Final Jeopardy that he thought David was going for Lisbon. I thought he just put an L on the end of Lis to match the beginning L 🤣
Maybe The Sound of Music was on his mind?
