TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHAT IS THE NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM?

Here’s what it says on the National Air and Space Museum’s History page: “In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson signed a law that changed the name of the National Air Museum to the National Air and Space Museum to memorialize the development of both aviation and spaceflight. The Museum’s collection on display expanded to include missiles and rockets, some of which were located outdoors near the Arts and Industries Building in an area that was known as ‘Rocket Row.'”

From 2008: MUSEUMS ($2,000): This museum at the Smithsonian originated with a group of kites obtained from the Chinese Imperial Commission in 1876

Eric got it right. (It was okay to omit the word “National”) He bet $1,999 and finished with $3,999.

Jeff thought they only wanted the two words “and Space.” He lost his $2,800 bet and finished with $10,000.

Jason also got it right, sans National. He added $3,000 to win today’s match with $40,600. His 10-day total is $273,843. Wow!

Jason Zuffranieri is the 9th player in JEOPARDY! History to win at least 10 games, and the last player in the Solo Digits to do that. The 1st player ever was Ken Jennings, of course, with 74 wins. 2nd was David Madden, with 19 wins. 3rd was Arthur Chu with 11 wins. 4th was Julia Collins with 20 wins. 5th was Matt Jackson with 13 wins. 6th was Seth Wilson, with 12 wins. 7th was Austin Rogers, also with 12 wins, but Austin won a lot more money than Seth, and of course, earlier this year, the 8th player to win at least 10 games was James Holzhauer, with 32 wins. We’ll see if Jason can tie with Arthur Chu, in terms of games won on JEOPARDY!, tomorrow…, on Friday The 13th. So, let’s just wait and see if tomorrow’s game will bring Jason good luck or bad luck.

Wow is right. Jason just doesn’t seem to want to end his run yet. Congrats to him on his win today. Also I’ve been to the air and space museum when i was younger. It still brings back a lot of great memories. If this keeps up we might get another long streak winner since Matt Jackson, Austin Rogers and seth Wilson. By the way when was the last time you visited the air and space museum VJ?

    • VJ says:

Yes, Lou, Jason is definitely on a roll. So quick on that buzzer. Look at that pre-FJ score even when one of the DD’s went to Jeff!

I have never been to the Natl. Air and Space Museum myself. My son went there on an 8th grade trip.
