Confound my gut feelings! For FJ, I said, right away, “Russia and Kazakhstan”, but, then, got into my head, and thought about it, and said “Mongolia and China”. That’s twice this week alone! Gotta stick to my first response.

Two of three on DD. Didn’t know the Armenia one. TS about half, with the colors saving me.

  2. Howard says:

Tricky FJ. I went with the standard Russia/China, which I figured was too easy. I know Kazakhstan is one of the world’s largest countries, but didn’t realize their border was that large.

The FJ from 2 years ago seems off. They’re looking for the artist’s name, which is ??? Did I ever mention that I jumped into the river in Paris, got arrested, and the judge declared me in Seine? 🙂

Disappointed Ben didn’t know the perennial candidate known for his “Cross of Gold” speech and his role in the Scopes trial. But not an easy one to guess, by all means, if you didn’t know it. Theoretically, it may have cost him a possible win. Let’s assume he hits the DD; hear me out:

Ben now has $6600. Six clues later, Will with $10K picks the last DD. Kristen has $2600. Don’t know what Ben had at that moment, but let’s say it was $6600. Will likely wagers more than $800 and misses the DD. Maybe he wagers $2-3K and loses it. But let’s presume he stuck with $800. Entering FJ, Will has $13600, Ben $11K instead of $5K, Kristen $4400. She bets it all and craps out. Ben wagers correctly ($2601) and misses, falling to $8399. Will has to guard against Ben going all-in and wagers $8401. He misses and falls to $5199. Ben wins the game.

  3. Rick says:

I didn’t fare all that well in the game today, and flubbed the FJ. In fact, all that I came up with in FJ was Russia and China.

  4. Ismael Gomez says:

For the second day in a row, we got an epic fail on wagering clues as 3 more DDs were missed resulted our second skunking and another triple stumper in the final thanks to that pesky geography clue. I hope William Weyser will say darn those daily doubles to Ben.

    • William Weyser says:

I thought I didn’t have to say “Darn Those Daily Doubles!” for the 3rd time in a row, but then, I had to double check by watching the episode, and yep, I had to say it. Maybe, the Daily Doubles and FJ! will be kinder to the players on the 4th game on the season. On the plus side, Will Weiss is our 1st repeat champion of Season 41.

  5. Kevin Cheng says:

For the second day in a row, FJ! was a triple stumper. So far, the first week of Season 41 was a tough final.
