Tried to leave a comment on the original air date page, but there was no place there for it. I may or may not have seen this show in October. Some of the stumpers looked familiar, so I probably did.

Tough but fair FJ. Jack would’ve won with a correct answer. I figured it was someone French, based on the title of the work, but lamely answered Seurat, whose life preceded air travel.

Still shocked that 3 brilliant players didn’t know where Ryman Auditorium is. Almost like not knowing where Yankee Stadium is (OK, not quite.) Camp Randall was tougher but I follow college football. The Dreiser novel is very well known and I thought someone would get it. The Olympic boats clue was tricky, but gettable. Nothing you could really guess on, just had to know it.

I think the big key was Sabena. Just Like Lufthansa, KLM, El Al, or LOT, you either know it or you don’t. (And I JUST found out that Sabena is an acronym!)

I concur (as is very usual) with the rest of your post; the only quibble might be, I don’t know if I would apply “brilliant”.

@Howard, just so you know, most bloggers will close comments on posts after a set amount of time (in my case, 90 days) because spammers often target older posts, hoping you won’t notice.
