WHO IS SACAGAWEA (SACAJAWEA)?

Various online sources agree that Sacagawea has more statues in the USA than any other American woman. Sacagawea was a Shoshone Native American who served as a guide to the 1804 Lewis and Clark Expedition. Without going into every detail, Sacagawea bore her first child, Jean-Baptiste Charbonneau, on 2/11/1805. She is sometimes depicted carrying the child in her arms or in a papoose on her back.

Lifetime’s Herstory page counted 16 Sacagawea statues and Wikipedia has a list of them. Herstory says Joan of Arc has the second most statues and she wasn’t even American. Stranger still, both Sacagawea and Joan of Arc were teenagers when the events they are honored for took place.

Dave was going for Lincoln. He lost $5,000 and finished with $400.

Jay got it right. He added $401 and finished with $5,401.

Neilesh also came up with Lincoln. He lost $1,000 but won the game with the $12,000 he had left. Neilesh Vinjamuri is the new Jeopardy champ!

I just watched the game on the DVR. Man, I was SO not impressed with Neilish in the first round. There was no plan, them a plan for all the high dollar clues and ringing in first, and hoping to come up with it. As is usual, not successful.

I was 2/3 on DD and got FJ. I also “got a feeling” that Neilish will be a “cooler” (low scoring games).

I got more than half the TS.

Final seemed obvious to me, but wasn’t necessarily a giveaway.
Nice comeback by Neilish after that shaky start. Minus 1800 off the bat.
Knew Jamie Lee’s parents; Funny girl; Fanny-Alexander Swede (who else might it have been?).

Neilesh made an impressive comeback after starting Double Jeopardy in the negative. He really turned things around in that round. He will be the champion heading into the final week of Season 40.

Sorry this is so late, everybody. Also sorry about the way Jay lost!! Ken actually emphasized “at this same harbor” when he read the clue, but I said Fort Sumter too!!
