ha ha 🤣 that got an audible chuckle out of me.
Typical game in this run of multi-game winners. The challengers killed whatever chance they had of preventing a lock game with too many misses. “Complacement”? Really? That was almost as bad as “licorice” and “cinnamon” in the ACE category. I did pretty well, got some of the $1000/2000 clues, knew Final before Ken finished reading it. (I bought the book decades ago but never read it, did see the film.)
Knew the famous director, mostly from his appearance in “Chinatown.” Got “brilliant deduction” stuck in my head on the first DD but nailed the other 2.
I thought you probably got the Soothing Words from the 1930s. It made me think of the not mentioned Neville C right away.
Nah, I wasted too much time trying to remember the French word for peace (paix) and that took me nowhere. Wilt Chamberlain would have been a better PM.
