The clue about the city’s buses was not a stumper; Jared got it (Montgomery) after the other two missed. His response of Tokyo, Philippines was right up there with his Olympus, Ohio answer last week. He also had a brain freeze when he identified the hockey stars instead of their team.

When Harrison missed that $2K clue late in the game to fall under half of Jared’s score, I had an immediate notion that it would cost him a win. And it likely did. (Almost a carbon copy of what happened to me.)

The French clause and the Tokyo district were all I could really come up with.
Some really difficult clues and DDs tonight.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing – that Harrison burned himself on that one. Then again, when did Guam become a country? (Notwithstanding Rep. Hank Johnson asking Admiral “Rat” Willard if US Marines would make the island capsize.)

Annabelle seemed to just blurt out wrong answers.

As usual, I got about half the TS. But, I got FJ wrong – I said “GOAT”.

I dunno – Jared doesn’t strike me as totally champ-like. Maybe he’s just a little flat.

    • VJ says:

Thanks, Howard, I fixed that. LOL at Tokyo. I like Jared though. He seems like a happy guy to me.

      • Howard says:

He’s extremely affable and hard to root against, but he’ll get his comeuppance when they pit a strong player against him.

8-year old Julie got that Classic Children’s Books TS — it was in her wheelhouse 🤣🤣🤣
