ALL of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
E.B. White’s former home in North Brooklin, Maine, where he wrote “Charlotte’s Web,” went on sale in August of 2017 for $3.7 million,complete with the barn that inspired the much-beloved classic. Robert and Mary Gallant, the sellers, bought the 48-acre property after E.B. White’s death from his son. They graciously gave a tour of the place to Mel Allen, editor of Yankee Magazine. Read “The House at Allen Cove” for the many details the Gallants shared from their 30 plus years of ownership, as well the great photos, both inside and outside.
Jason didn’t bet anything so he stayed at $7,000.
Rebecca bet $7,201, bringing her up to $18,801.
Catherine bet $4,401 so she won the match with $23,201. Her 2-day total is $46,402. “The same amount today as yesterday,” Alex said, “You are consistent.”

I thought Catherine only said “Patrick Swayze”, not “Who is Patrick Swayze?”, just before she got the daily double. Does that even matter anymore?
@Rita, I didn’t hear it either but when I turned on the close captions, it showed “who is Patrick Swayze.” Anyhow, either way, they don’t penalize the players for that in the first round.
Those were some easy clues in that Kiss Cam category! On that Godfather II one, I would have liked it better if it said something like “Michael Corleone said “I know it was you” to this character, when he kissed him in Godfather II”
Two triple solves back to back, this never happen all the time. Also tough break for Jason as he did not nail both daily doubles in the second round and there is no such thing as War Act. Also VJ your kids loved the book and the movie Charlotte’s web right? It was so popular back on cartoon network. Congrats to Cathy on her second win and I hope she can break the leader curse this week and hopefully reach Ryan Fenster’s total.
@Lou, yeah, it was a shame that Jason misunderstood that Four Seasons DD.
@John, thanks for the congrats on the prediction.

@Louis
Even if Jason had answered both DDs correctly, it would have brought him up to 13 K. Not enough anyway, so it didn’t matter in the end since the leader got it right and she made the necessary wager to cover against Rebecca. Had Jason be second, Catherine would most likely have done the same. It only really hurts when a missed DD costs you the entire game…. And I can’t remember a back to back triple solve either!
The last back-to-back triple solves were in the last week of the College Championship
Yeah, I am talking about regular games, not tournaments.
Way to go Catherine! The pick of destiny helps another soul!!! Really though… great job.
“too” far away… my keys are wearing out, really time for a new computer..!
@ VJ,Jacob @ JJ
Congratulations for the right prediction! And congratulations to Catherine!
A triple solve back to back, when did that happen the last time in a regular game?
Now we’ll see if Catherine can string together 4 wins. That would make her at least # 10 on the ToC list and push Jeffrey Schwarz (currently # 10 on the list) to # 11 as the highest 3 game winner. Then we would still need at least 5 more champs with 4 or more wins in order to have no 3 game winner in the next ToC.
I’m really curious whether that will happen or if Jeffrey will make it. Making FJ easier is no guarantee in general that the previous day’s champ will win, so we’ll have to see and the clock is ticking with the summer break not to far away.
@Jacob
To add a little info to VJ’s, the house was sold in October 2017, 2 months after it came on the market.
