Dan got the last Daily Double in “Business” under the $800 clue, the very last clue of the round. In second place with $12,600, he had $7,600 less than Martin’s lead. Quite the stroke of luck, eh? Especially after Martin skipped over that clue on the way down. Dan couldn’t have looked any happier. He bet $8,000 and he was RIGHT.
Almost a decade after a big spill, it’s the biggest company by revenue that’s headquartered in England. show
That put Dan in the lead with $20,600. Martin was next with $20,200 and Terri was in third place with $5,000.
ALL of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
From the Taj Mahal’s website: “Taj Mahal stands on the bank of River Yamuna…. It was built by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in 1631 in memory of his third but the most favourite wife, in fact a soul-mate Mumtaz Mahal, a Muslim Persian princess. She died while accompanying her husband in Burhanpur in a campaign to crush a rebellion after giving birth to their 13th child. The death so crushed the emperor that all his hair and beard were said to have grown snow white in a few months.”
More Famous Landmarks in India: Curiously, the Taj Mahal is No. 7 on this list.

There have been times where a player in second place got the DD at the end of the DJ! round and didn’t wager enough to either take the lead or even have a chance to break a lock game. The DD coming when it did decided the game today

At least we got a triple solve today. Shame that Martin couldn’t get another win but the clock has been reset again. Also. In the first daily double VJ, it should have said that Terri was in the lead with 1400. Just hope that dan could break the leader curse.
Thanks, Lou, but I’m looking at the recording here and it says she had $400, bet $600, missed it and wound up in the red for $200. Coincidentally, one of the 2 years ago players was from the answer to that DD (in Indiana).
