Tight game that was chockful of wrong answers and stumpers. I didn’t do great overall but I know I could have won that game. I took a stab at Oslo for Final. Knew the 2nd and 3rd DDs and a number of stumpers: the transplant; the founder of the missions; both of the FIFA stumpers; the Russian news outlet; the Harry Truman show. That’s $7000 worth of stumpers alone!

Nearly 50 years ago I worked in San Juan Capistrano, CA, just a few blocks from the mission. In summer 1974, I scored a late ticket to the one-man show about the lawyer and tiptoed to my close-in seat a few minutes after it began. Afterward, I went backstage and got Henry Fonda’s autograph on my program, which I still have.

Well, it was another splendid game, and Katelyn became the new Jeopardy champ. Congratulations! As for me, I didn’t do all that well in the game, and chose Yellowknife, Yukon for FJ.

Today was an ugly match today as all three players struggle with the material. Despite all of the low scores, incorrect responses, and Triple Stumper count, no records were set during this game. Assuming a TOC cutoff airdate of December 4, 2026 and a similar field size to this past season, today’s result clinches a bye to the TOC semifinals for Jamie Ding.
