William Fargo was a 19th century business mogul, who with Henry Wells and John Butterfield formed the American Express Company in 1850. Two years later, Wells and Fargo co-founded Wells Fargo. In the 1870s, Fargo was an officer with the Northern Pacific Railroad, instrumental in bringing rail to Centralia, North Dakota. The grateful town renamed itself after him. During the Civil War, Fargo was also the mayor of Buffalo, NY, where an avenue still bears his name.

Larry wrote down KC for some reason. I don’t think Alex knew that KC is Kansas City from where Larry lives.
Looks like Larry and Claire knew their stuff despite not being able to get Fargo. But no worries. They will show their stuff in the.semifinals later next week. Also VJ, I think Claire was smart not to bet big as she does not want to fall behind. But still Lee did his best with some ups and downs. When was the last time you saw Fargo?
@Lou, I don’t remember when the last time was that I saw “Fargo” exactly, but that was a great film. I love Steve Buscemi.

Kind of funny that the 2nd grade teacher won while Latin as well as English/Technology took a back seat, though Latin/ Claire might have a decent chance for a Wild Card. And of course congratulations to Larry!! Looks like a really nice gentleman. I’ll check all of them out in about 5 hours.
Lee started very strong in the first round and then Larry and Claire kept see sawing back and forth in Double Jeopardy! and Lee was unable to catch them, John B..
