I got all 3 DD, but said “Baltic and Crimean” for FJ. I got all the TS on page 2, except for the last two.

Agree with VJ in re: low scoring. $10k runaway? You gotta be kidding me.

Now, as one may have noticed (or not – no one calls out what I may have said), I 1. don’t think much of Mayim as host and 2. I’ve recently really tamped down on hammering her. But, on another site, People, maybe, there was an article about her and J!, and they commented on clues left on the board, and that she might have to pick up the pace a bit. That’s not me, that’s them. Tonight was only 3, total, I believe (1 J!, 2 DJ!).

It’s funny how these commenters that hammer Mayim over clues left on the board don’t notice how slow some contestants are at picking clues, or the amount of triple stumpers and foolish guesses that slow things down.

Short of bringing a bullwhip onstage, idk what Mayim can do about any of that, but if her critics do, they ought to share their wisdom.

And the video categories with clues that drone on and on.

      • Jason says:

Ouch! As I said, I’ve reined in my criticism recently.

        • VJ says:

lol, Jason, just so you know I’m not a die-hard fan of Mayim. If Ken was being unfairly criticized, I would defend him too. If they are going to name a permanent host, I would rather it be Mayim but I think maybe it would be best to keep them both around.

Channel-surfing today, I happened to come across Mayim on the Kelly Clarkson show and she mentioned the Single Jeopardy flap. I’ll write a separate post about it tomorrow if I get a chance to see the whole segment. At least she has a good sense of humor about the whole thing.

  2. Rick says:

I thought that the FJ correct response might have been the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas. Well, I wasn’t alone as the contestants couldn’t come up with it either.

  3. jk says:

The Ouija board (planchette) clue was not a triple stumper. John got it.

  4. VJ says:

Another low-scoring game, even lower than yesterday! Ryan is indeed lucky, bailed out by the Movie Co-Stars category being in the last round.

Well, I had fun watching the game today. Usually, Nikki and I pick rounds to imitate Mayim. (It’s not negative — we only imitate voices we like.) My brother came by and I got to show off a little. (Not too much — I’m older than him.)

  5. Ismael Gomez says:

3 more DDs were missed and another tough FJ as we got a triple stumper.

    • William Weyser says:

Not every time, but 1 good thing about tonight’s game is that we have our 14th champion to win 10 games.
