Gary found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Bible Study” under the $800 clue, with 9 clues left after it. He was in the lead with $2,000, $400 more than Kate and Josh, tied in second place. He bet “a big $300” and took a guess with Acts. That was WRONG.

George Washington first visited Harpers Ferry in the summer of 1785 in connection with Potomac River improvements and later proposed it as the site for a new federal armory and arsenal. It was then located in Virginia at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers near the Maryland border. According to NPS.gov: “The potential waterpower of the two rivers impressed Washington, who felt that Harpers Ferry’s remote location would protect the armory from foreign invasion. The Federal Government purchased about 118 acres of land from John Wager, Sr. whose wife had inherited the property from Robert Harper . . . By 1861, Harpers Ferry found itself on the boundary between the Union and Confederate forces, which both viewed Harpers Ferry as strategically significant. During the Civil War, Harpers Ferry faced major destruction and changed hands between the North and the South no less than eight times.”
On June 20, 1863, part of Virginia officially became the State of West Virginia. It’s a whole other story how Jefferson County, where Harpers Ferry is located, became part of West Virginia.
Kate had no response. She lost her $4,100 bet, leaving her with $100.
Gary went with West Point. He lost $2,000, dropping him to $4,500.
Josh got it right. He only bet $1,244 and won the match with $19,644. His 4-day total is $102,530.

I was distracted a bit during the show, but though I saw ‘indented’ servant, or slave as the correct response to an answer. Not sure what the category was. Reason I bring this up is that the correct word is ;indentured’. I’ve done some searching, and can’t find any instance of indented being correct for this.

Did the same and am pretty sure you are right.
@Stephen – here is what the clue said: American Revolution ($200) In 1775 Virginia’s governor offered this to “indented servants, Negroes or others” who’d fight for the King” and there are many places online that have that language. Here’s a link to one. (It’s in the 3rd paragraph)
It was the $400 clue in that category they messed up: “After helping prevent Cornwallis from crossing the Raritan River at Trenton, he was Washington’s right-hand man.” Trenton = the Delaware River. Here’s a link where it shows he held them back near New Brunswick
Well at long last, we now have Josh Hill as a streaker for this month. It’s sad that we didn’t get a streaker in March but April’s college championship made up for it. Still though west point isn’t a bad guess. So I assume that Josh had a little over 10000 dollar lead over Ryan, who won 90000 dollars, right VJ?
I guess, Lou, I haven’t checked on that list yet. We just had a scary thunderstorm here. Wow. I was watching the guy’s lights flicker across the street wondering if I was next!

Why does the time’s up signal always have to be on every single episode of Jeopardy?
Kinda weird that the FJ category was “Geographic History” last Friday and “U.S. Geographic History” today!! (not to mention plumbum showing up in this match)
Wway to go, Josh! I think we’ll see him in the ToC. He basically has secured a spot with 4 wins (though I think he will go even higher) and over 100 K.
I’m pretty sure Gary was thinking of West Point, VA or maybe West Point, NY where they have the United States Military Academy.
