WHAT IS SCOTCH TAPE?
The 3M Company first introduced its iconic “snail” tape dispenser in 1939. It added the plaid design in 1945 and began advertising with the slogan “The tape with the plaid is the best to be had.” As more and more households got TVs in the 1950s, Scotch® Cellophane Tape became a major advertiser. Kilt-wearing Scotty McTape was the brand mascot for over two decades. (Scotch Brand: Tape Innovation Timeline)

Another impressive Wellesley grad.
if memory serves correctly then “minnesota 3 m ” was a fj answer within the last year. i don’t know whether in regular play or a tournament but i remember thinking ” a real easy fj clue”….i wonder if they are a sponsor? -:)
I think Jason Keller was just a 9x champ if j-archive is correct. That means Julia is the 4th winningest champ on the show.. Jennings (74), Madden (19), Chu (11) being the first three.
you’re right and Joon Pahk is 7x. I counted their last games in, which was dumb. Really need to make a list.
PS – I put in a list of players who have won over $150K on the TOC post (shows how many games they won) in place of that second list I had on there before (that really served no purpose).
That’s great, vj.. Great to have those stats here and easily accessible!
Thanks Keith. One more $20K win will put Julia right after Arthur Chu, but she’d need to win at least one more week of games to catch up to his haul!
I’d love for her to win another ten games at least, just so she could eclipse David Madden’s 19x streak by one, thus cementing herself as the #2 winningest champ by # of wins, and at least cementing herself as a solid #3 among highest cash winnings total in regular games.
Let’s hope she makes Chu a distant memory.
