TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.?

For his second inauguration, President Obama was sworn in twice: in a private ceremony on Sun. Jan. 20th during which he used the family Bible from his wife’s side. On Mon. Jan. 21st, he chose to use the Bibles that belonged to Abraham Lincoln (again– he also used it in his first inauguration) and Martin Luther King, Jr. UPI s “Historically Speaking” section of its coverage of the event says: “On Monday, President Obama again used the Lincoln Bible and the ‘traveling bible’ belonging to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., stacked one over the other. Both bibles were be closed, rather than open to a specific verse, when Obama took the oath of office Monday, as was the Robinson Bible on Sunday.”

MLK, Jr.’s niece was not happy that her uncle’s Bible was not open to a specific verse.

Sunny wrote down JFK. She bet and lost her whole $5,000.

Ana got it right. Her $1,200 bet brought her up to $11,000.

Al also got it right. He bet $5.00 bet so he won the match with $20,005, the highest total this week. Once again, second place exceeded the $10,000 guarantee.

  3. VJ says:

I didn’t get to see the first four clues in TV Theme Songs when the show was interrupted for a tornado warning. When they went back to regular programming, I got to see the commercial! And of course, I was disappointed that they didn’t get to the Poetry category. How dare they not do a category I’m good at? LOL!

I’ve got 9 clues from the match over here

    • rhonda says:

Sorry you missed the first 4 clues, VJ, I know exactly how you feel!! I remember some of the answers, but not the questions, except they played the theme songs of 2 old 60’s shows I used to love. It’s annoying how many questions are left up on the board, and the nerve of them to not go to the poetry category even once!!

      • VJ says:

LOL, Rhonda. Too bad they don’t play the bottom rows of all the categories first. Well, there’s only one game to go and so far only one DD went uncovered. I really thought it would be more than that.

  4. jacob ska says:

    Oops. Sunny can’t add. 1865+103=1968.

President Lincoln was assassinated 1865. President Kennedy was assassinated 1963.

    • Tom Clark says:

That’s assuming she even knows the year was 1865.

These are called Power Players? I don’t think so, because “knowledge is power”.

      • jacob ska says:

Tom, as always, you make an excellent point. I didn’t think about her possibly not knowing 1865.
