Only ONE of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS HEDDA GABLER?

Hedda Gabler is the title anti-heroine of an 1890 play by Henrik Ibsen. One reason Hedda has been called the female Hamlet is because it is a coveted role, considered one of the greatest female parts ever written. Its male counterpart for that accolade is Hamlet, although some don’t consider Hamlet an anti-hero. However, if you agree with Catherine Butler’s opinion that Hamlet is really a “self-centred, entitled, manipulative, callous bully”, then the comparison is almost perfect. Ms. Butler contends that Hamlet is a “villain of genius” because he’s fooled the world into believing he’s heroic. I think it’s fair to say that Hedda Gabler has way more haters than sympathizers.

Valerie had no response. She lost $599 and finished with $1.00.

Chayce went with Ophelia. That cost him $8,000 and left him with $4,800.

Tristan got it right. He bet $6,701 and won the game with $25,601. Tristan’s 8-day total is $158,501. (The buck is back!)
