Mattea’s chatter was down, but, I think that that was simply due to opportunity. Being quick on the buzzer is to her advantage. In the English lit category, which was Vernon’s wheelhouse, she took a few of them.
I got FJ wrong. I said “Luxembourg”.
For the “fight or flight” hormone, they used the brand name. I don’t know if I can put the generic name without busting the TS admonition.
As far as the land grant question, I had an alternative term, which is more simple. I wonder if they would have taken it. I just found out that they are not synonymous.
Jason, I think putting in the generic name in your comment would be fine since it was not the answer to the clue.
I meant to mention yesterday that I got the singer / songwriter for “And When I Die” because it is one of my favorite songs (the BS&T cover with David Clayton Thomas on lead).
So, it’s “epinephrine”. That’s what anyone in medicine calls it. NO ONE says the answer they used.
For the land grant, I said “farming”. I should have thought of the MANY universities!!
I went with Monaco in FJ. Actually, if it wasn’t right, it sure wasn’t a bad guess.
I am happy that Lana from Southington went on jeopardy today but I am also impressed Mattea won again. 70k is a lot since Roger and James set one day records with that sort of win.
I would definitely want to visit Monaco one day with my family. Would you consider that as your vacation destination vj?
No, Lou, at my age and given the current state of my health, I would have to say I missed the yacht on that vacation 🤣🤣🤣
I did a day trip there from Nice. Enjoyed walking around and some good meals.
