The answer of “deepest part” was 100% correct and should have been accepted. The Challenger Deep is the deepest known part of the ocean. It may not have been the answer they had in mind, but it was correct.
A “three people who have never been in my kitchen response”. They made the correct decision, in my opinion.
Well no Jeopardy here tonight and I refuse to stay up to 2 am or DVR it. Bruce Springsteen is singing an opening tribute to New Jersey. It appears there’s a 60 minute tribute to New Jersey on local ABC station in wake of Covid-19. Thanks for the recap VJ.
Oh, sorry, Jacob. Rhonda did mention that was going to happen this morning.
As for Gary, I think you may have a point about the shout out — he knew he wasn’t going to win anyhow. Yesterday, during the chat, Alex said he was born in the Soviet Union.
Russia a “democratic” nation? Somewhere Putin is smirking.
@DC, according to this site, Russia’s “1993 constitution declares Russia a democratic, federative, law-based state with a republican form of government.” This morning I was asking my daughter who has more power in countries that have a president and a prime minister and something I was reading to her said that in Russia, it was whichever office Putin was in. Perhaps he is smirking somewhere 😁
In 8th or 9th grade Social Studies class, I wrote a paper comparing the US and Russian constitutions. I thought I did a good job, but my grade wasn’t what I expected. But it was fascinating to learn how democratic theirs was.
The final tonight was way too easy. There is only one democratic country that could possibly have 500M voters.
I haven’t seen the game yet but I was shocked at Gary’s response. I didn’t fact check the populations on Google yet, however, I do recall the United States has the 3rd largest population in the world at about 327 million. So if every person in the USA voted which we know is an impossibility due to some citizens below the voting age it would be nowhere near 500 million. That leaves out Russia. China with the world’s largest population is far from a democracy at about 1.4 billion. India would be the logical response. VJ, if I predicted on Clue of the Day I would have stated 3 correct too.
I seldom comment on a contestant’s response but where did Russia come from by Gary? In your comments above VJ you stated Russia is Gary’s home. Perhaps he just wanted to give a shout out. I can’t believe he thought that response was correct. The game airs here in a few minutes at 7 pm. Can’t wait to see it. 😩
I feel I am missing a joke with the category “Dee” Dee, Dee-Dee-Dee…
Alex didn’t get the joke. It was a tribute to Manamana. Read the two categories together and you’ll see what they were going for.
Phenomena, Dee Dee Dee Dee Dee ……
Still don’t get it.
Is it the Muppets and Sandra Bullock one?
Oh so it’s referencing a Muppet bit. Found the original, with over 100M views. Never heard it before.
If I had a time machine, I’d spare Hitler and just go back to before I knew that existed.
Idk, I guess it’s better for kids than the violent cartoons I was watching back in the 1950s, like Beware of Barnacle Bill (ha ha ha, I love that cartoon)
Since Gary couldn’t get another win, maybe Sharon could build up on her win? We have had a carousel of leader curses over the weeks of March so we need that to be broken by her. A great game played so far but we still need a streaker to close out the month of april. Besides India, what other countries have more than 500 million voters VJ?
You’re asking me that after telling me yesterday that you have a fantastic memory for facts ???
