Hi VJ- This isn’t a comment, just a note for you. I have a small correction. While Cypresses was on loan from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Starry Night was actually on loan from the Museum of Modern Art.
And my husband and I really enjoy your Jeopardy recaps!
Thanks for that, Mimi. I fixed it and I’m glad to hear that you and your husband enjoy the recaps. 😁
Not surprised at Donna’s response. Contestants normally go for what they are most familiar with using their personal frame of reference. She’s from Illinois and per the Internet “Le Banquet” by Rene Magritte is on display in a Chicago, Illinois art museum. Never heard of that painting but it does have orange hue in it. Interesting. Every day I learn something new.
Thanks, Jacob, that is interesting, I was wondering about her choice.
Wow. i love art, but I never heard of that painting by Magritte.
Still no four time champion after two 3 game curses. Hopefully Mike can at least get a streak rolling. But I am glad to see Mike and Patrick getting final right. I think I remember seeing the Starry Night painting at the Yale Art Gallery back when I was younger. Still though great play by the players today and we will see how Anderson Cooper does during his two week hosting stint. Impressive scores so far.
For more than two months, we have failed to get a 4-day champion.
Maybe, Mike Nelson will be a 4, 5, or more day champion. We’ll see.
